You know, I’m having a hard time believing Rugyam is meant to be a villain so far. He hasn’t really done anything ‘evil’, and he’s been relatively honorable and trustworthy. Heck, he even purposely reduce civilian destruction and casuality during sieges and occupations, and his high command enforce that way of doing thing. Even the ‘I want to conquer the world!’ kind of deal he got going isn’t really evil per say and seems to be noble.
So, I feel like we’re either going to have Rugyam shows his ‘true colors’ at one point and reveal his evil plans, or maybe he’s actually just going to act like a sort of patron to the team.
That, or the team is just going to oppose him because they don’t like him.
Lexister, I kind of agree with you. However, there is one more possibility that maybe we could consider. It might be a little out there, but it is still a possibility: that the character himself might be someone else’s puppet.
We see it in stories, as the character who believes to be fighting for a noble and righteous cause sometimes turns out being illuded and used by another, much shadier character. We should not dismiss the possibility that the guy actually wants the better, but that someone close to him (maybe a personal advisor of shorts) could be taking advantage of his ideals and making him work so they can fulfill their own dark goals.
Primma looks so good in this comic, although I wish she could speak. Well, for this page, I must say that she is one tough bird, and I wonder why she bit the crew?
I like Primma’s face in 2nd panel. It’s like “Oh, come on!” 😀
But I think I’m too slow for this: What Tevor wants not to break? Is Rugyam holding Tevor’s pendant he carefully assembled in verse 1?

Anyway, I really like the character thus far!
Amara is absolutely PISSED in the 3rd panel XD
